Privalia was founded in Barcelona in 2006 as a pure Internet player and arrived in Brazil in 2008 as a player in the fashion segment. In 2016, Privalia’s global operations were acquired by French retailer Veepee, and its Brazilian operation became the retailer’s wholly owned subsidiary.
Since the beginning of its activities in Brazil, the Company has been investing heavily in technology and logistics to serve its more than 15 million registered customers.
In 2018, the Company launched its distribution center in Extrema, in the state of Minas Gerais. The center manages over 630 thousand SKUs, from 1,500 brands, in 10 different verticals, such as fashion, footwear, pet, home & decor, among others.
Daily, at the 13 studios maintained at our headquarters, we photograph 5,000 product references that will be featured in our more than 330 monthly campaigns. With this super diversified portfolio, we are able to become part of our cutomers’ lives in countless moments.
By maintaining a consistent growth path since it arrived in the Brazil, Privalia reached, in 2020, a Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) of nearly R$ 1.2 billion. In April 2021, Privalia became a publicly-held company at B3.
